REJOINING WITH GOLD
Over the past century, there has been several archaeological finds in Bredgar which is small village to the south of Sittingbourne. This project will focus on engaging the local community of Bredgar to take part in an archaeological quest/game to try and discover more treasure. In addition to this, the local community would also get involved in the plantation of flower beds as a response to the destruction of the ground which is caused due to archaeological digging. The flower beds would be placed on the spots of land which have been previously dug and they would act as an enhancement to the pre-existing rural landscape. The entire project would be a game and the local community would hide fake treasure within the archaeological pits as an added experience to the project. The members of the local community taking part in the game would have to find the fake treasure and sometimes they might even discover real treasure which was buried in Bredgar centuries ago. The entire project is based across three pieces of rural land within the village and the road systems would be painted in gold to connect the three locations of land together to aid the enhancement of the landscape.
